Nix is another project I've written off because of its politics.

FOSS should be free and open source software; not reverse-racism at its best... I'll go stand in the corner now because I'm canceled - I don't need yer Nix. Used to love it; blah.

Sorry to hear that. But a good reason to write it off. I never got on the
    NIX bandwagon.

Lots of students at NCSU (North Carolina State University) where I went to school (years ago); seem to like it. Not sure of their view of recent activities and split of NIX .

Nix* is a great package manager and OS - its a shame that they pushed the ORIGINAL developer out all in the name of DEI bs. IMO.

DEI isn't DEI at its core that pushes out anyone who doesn't bow down to extremes... just give it another few years and the pendulum will swing the other way. I'm all about coming together NOW, before we have to endure another decade of this BS.

    I won't use any of these projects that push PEOPLE out;

    NixOS
    Elementary OS
    Firefox
    Red Hat
and several others. Its a shame as all are valued projects bigger than the people that hijacked them.

    IMO.

Can you share more about this one? I guess actually I should
    research myself , LOL.

I use Redhat at work and for my VPS (Rocky Linux 9.5)

I've not seen anything about RH pushing out people; that is sad
if it is occurring. But in a government environment (state), RH
is the platform generally used by IT supported group.

There are rogue IT folks in different agencies, that use ubuntu and even
some of my peers. But RH is enterprise driven, almost sometimes to a fault.
I hate some of the ways they try tou push their way in through management, rather than the technical teams that have to support it.

    Thanks for opening my eyes!

    Happy Holidays
