So I am unable to send email to gmail now.
it gives me an error msg that I am not sending via tls.
Are you sure it's not for lack of a SPF record for your hostname? That's the more common issue sending to gmail.
in scfg i have the tls port enabled for smtp; port 465
That setting is for *incoming* SMTPS connections, has no impact on mail delivery.
for sendmail i use direct mail delivery.
The Synchronet sendmail thread always attempts SMTPS/STARTTLS first.
I keep getting this error from gmail, is there something else I need to configure?
What is the error exactly?
I an running 3.19b.
I sent a test email from vert to one of my gmail accounts and it works on vert.
Vertrauen has an SPF record:
